"Patton," on the other hand, cruised to a win over "The Longest Day," ending the longshot's tournament run. The victory (56 percent to 44 percent) was the closest so far for the biopic, which entered its semifinal matchup against John Wayne's D-Day epic on a 2-0 run against the Navy Department (wins over "Top Gun" and "Midway").
